Get a text when your Polymarket or Kalshi bot trades

Yes. Homing Pigeon (homingpigeon.dev) lets your prediction-market bot text your phone when an order fills, a market you hold resolves, or the bot stops on an error. Your coding agent can add it to the bot you already have.

What to tell your agent

Use Homing Pigeon to text me when this bot fills an order, a market I hold resolves, or the bot stops.

Your agent asks for your number, you read back the six-digit code, and it does the rest.

How it works in code

After pip install homingpigeondev, call text_me from wherever your bot already handles a fill or a resolved market. Use the fields your bot already has.

import homingpigeondev

def text_me(message, key=None):
    try:
        homingpigeondev.send(message, idempotency_key=key)
    except homingpigeondev.HomingPigeonError as err:
        print("Text alert failed:", err)

text_me(f"Filled {fill['size']} {fill['side']} at {fill['price']} on {fill['market']}", f"fill-{fill['id']}")
text_me(f"{market['title']} resolved {market['outcome']}", f"resolved-{market['id']}")

To hear when the bot stops, wrap its main loop:

try:
    run_bot()
except Exception as err:
    text_me(f"Bot stopped: {str(err)[:200]}")
    raise

Good to know

  • Polymarket has official APIs and SDKs for fetching market data, placing orders and redeeming winning positions. Kalshi has an official Exchange API for real-time market data and trade execution. Either way, the text goes out from the code that already sees the fill.
  • Using the fill or order ID as the idempotency key means a retry or a reconnect that replays the same fill can never text you twice.
  • The limit is 20 texts a minute, so text on fills, resolutions and errors, not on every order or price check.
  • The try around the send means a failed text never stops your bot. The error is cut to 200 characters because messages are limited to 480.
  • Treat the text as a heads-up and not as your trade record, because delivery is not guaranteed.
